{"id":181,"date":"2010-05-23T21:35:52","date_gmt":"2010-05-23T21:35:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ve2cuy.wordpress.com\/"},"modified":"2010-05-23T21:35:52","modified_gmt":"2010-05-23T21:35:52","slug":"project-5-3-tube-regen-hf-receiver","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ve2cuy.com\/blog\/index.php\/vacuum-tube\/project-5-3-tube-regen-hf-receiver\/","title":{"rendered":"Project 5 &#8211; 3 tube regen HF receiver"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Well, well, here is my new project:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a03 tube HF regen receiver.<\/p>\n<p>The idea was to design from scratch\u2013 using parts available in my shack &#8211; a regen receiver with a good audio output that would cover the HF band by using plug-in coils.<\/p>\n<p>One other goal was to use same filament voltage tubes: 6BA6 (rf and regen), 6N2P (AF pre-amp) and 6AQ5 (AF AMP) and a 300 volt B+.<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;ve spent quite a time fine tuning the design.<\/p>\n<p>I think that the result is not so bad at all.<\/p>\n<p>There is an extra 7 pin tube socket on the board to add an \u2018rf amp\u2019 (6BZ6).<\/p>\n<p>By the way, tuning the radio, I came across the \u2018QSO radio show\u2019 at 7.415 mhz.
